What Does the Practical Tajweed Course Cover?
Tabarak Academy’s Amali Tajweed Course covers real-time
articulation correction, muscle-memory training for
Makharij, direct application of Noon Sakinah, Meem
Sakinah, and Madd rules during live reading, Tafkheem
and Tarqeeq precision, and fluent continuous recitation
of selected Surahs.
The programme focuses on intensive supervised practice
rather than repeating rule explanations. Applied Tajweed
classes are taught entirely in English by Al-Azhar
certified tutors with 25 years of correction experience,
making hands-on coaching accessible to intermediate and
advanced learners who understand Tajweed theory but cannot
yet apply it consistently.

What Do Students Practice in Amali Tajweed Classes?
01 Β· Makharij Drilling
Students Build Makharij Muscle Memory Through Drilling
Correct articulation points are trained through repetitive production drills rather than re-explaining exit points the student already understands. Tutors isolate the letters where the student’s tongue defaults to an incorrect position at reading speed, drill them individually, and then return them to Quranic verse context. This module is also available as a standalone Makharij drilling track.02 Β· Noon and Meem Application
Applying Noon and Meem Sakinah Rules at Reading Speed
Izhaar, Idghaam, Iqlaab, and Ikhfa for Noon Sakinah and Tanween are drilled through passages containing high concentrations of each rule. Meem Sakinah rules receive the same focused treatment, forcing automatic application instead of deliberate rule recall. This module is also available as a standalone Noon and Meem application track.03 Β· Madd Timing
Mastering Madd Timing Through Timed Recitation Exercises
Natural Madd and secondary Madd types, including Madd Muttasil, Madd Munfasil, and Madd Lazim, are practised through timed counting drills. The tutor monitors count accuracy during live recitation and corrects each elongation error immediately. Correcting Tafkheem and Tarqeeq in Live Recitation
Students practise heavy and light letter distinctions, including Ra under different vowel and Sukoon conditions, the seven full-mouth letters, and the Tafkheem conditions of the word Allah. Selected passages require students to switch rapidly between heavy and light production without losing accuracy. This module is also available as a standalone Tafkheem and Tarqeeq correction track.05 Β· Self-Correction
Developing Self-Correction During Continuous Reading
Students recite complete pages while tutors temporarily withhold correction, training the learner’s ear to detect Lahn Khafi errors independently. This listening and self-monitoring skill allows accurate Tajweed application to continue during Salah and private recitation when no tutor is present. Fluent Recitation of Selected Surahs Without Hesitation
The final stage places every applied skill into sustained, uninterrupted recitation of complete Surahs, from Juz Amma selections through longer passages. All Tajweed rules must operate simultaneously without analytical pauses.
